With sustainable supply chain management (SSCM), more companies have benefited from trying to be sustainable or “green” in their practices. However, there are still many challenges associated with sustainable practices and many of these are raising more questions than answers. This paper focuses on both sustainability and supply chain management from both conceptual and practical perspectives, relating the definition of SSCM to the conceptual view of a sustainable supply chain management system. In addition, the frequency of SSCM practices in Taiwan and Vietnam are compared and presented.
